Born and raised in Los Angeles, YalaBear started his music journey at 18-19 years old, paving his way into an industry he knew could be different. Founded TAKA in 2022, in light of bringing a new approach to curating and creating music.
His vision for TAKA is twofold: self-fulfillment for every individual member, and making fun memories along the way. “Love what you’re doing and who you’re doing it with.”
What keeps him going is the pursuit, the journey a song takes from idea to finished record, and then to be shared with the world. The music, the songwriting, the rollout, the marketing, the time it takes for a record to stand on its own. That whole process is what he loves most.
“Come along for the ride. We’re going to smile, laugh, and turn up every step of the way. When it’s all said and done, we make memories and music that will outlast us. ‘Til then, it’s fully up.”
